Hello Dears,
To those of you who have been reading my blog and hopefully enjoying it. I apologize for the lack of not posting. A lot of shit has happened to me over the past month and I have been very sad and depressed to the point where I didn't want to do anything. I don't want to go into too much detail about what happened, otherwise this would be a very long post and probably boring to read. However, I will give some key points about what happened from the end of August until now, October.
1) LOST MY JOB
I thought everything was fine, but then Navy Pier management had their remodeling of the pier underway. Everyone I talked to thought it was a stupid idea for them to remodel the pier in the first place but the higher ups don't give a damn about the little guy. The South Arcade, which is the area I was working in closed down. All the retail shops located there either relocated to a kiosk or they just were not coming back, even after the construction is finished. Unfortunately, my store was one that would not be coming back. I lost my job and fell into a depression for almost a month.
2) BOYFRIEND GOT A JOB
There was a role reversal with myself and my boyfriend. After 5 years of filling out applications and not getting anywhere, he FINALLY GOT A JOB! He went to bartending school because everything else he tried was not working. Two weeks and $200 later, he was certified. Bartending sounded like something he could grow with and eventually years later maybe start his own bar. But he started to get discouraged because no one wanted a fresh tender, they wanted people with experience and were not willing to give him a chance. After a month of searching and doing interviews, Craig's List proved to be his savior. He has a nice job with decent benefits and there's room to grow. I'm happy for him but at the same time upset because I don't have a job...
3) STUCK PLAYING HOUSE WIFE
Since I am no longer employed, I just kind of fell into the role. I cleaned the entire apartment and I must say it looks a lot better than it did two months ago. I was super busy with work and other things so I didn't have time to clean. At this time my boyfriend was lazy and didn't know how to clean shit. He was raised with not having to do chores so he had no clue how to do anything except wash dishes every once in a while. He didn't even know how to cook, I had to teach him. Anyway, I'm not really happy with this but it takes my mind off of the things that make me depressed and gives me something to do.
4) HUGE FIGHT WITH MY BOYFRIEND
I don't think I've ever cried harder than when my grandmother died. He said some really hurtful things to me and I wanted to smack so much but I held myself back. I forgave him for what he said to me but I will never forget the pain I felt and what was said to me.
5) STILL LOOKING
Now, I'm in the same boat as my boyfriend was. I'm looking and filling out applications but it just seems tidious. I really do want a job, not just for buying clothes, shoes, and makeup lol But for hanging out and going places. I miss my friends and have not seen them because they are busy with their jobs. :/
6) WENT ON VACATION TO LAS VEGAS!
It was fucking awesome!! I got some great pictures and video. Check my instagram for updated pictures and video. :)
